How do I know which treatment is right for me? ​We have grouped our treatments by skin concern for this exact reason - we understand how confusing all the different options can be, so you can choose any treatment from the menu that matches your concern, and you can have full confidence that the treatment you pick will target those concerns. If you are still unsure, we recommend that you start with one of our consultations, and one of our skin experts will guide you towards the best treatment plan to suit you. Alternatively, if you book a treatment we have flexibility to alter it on the day if we deem that another treatment would give you the best outcome, because at the end of the day, that's what we're all about - delivering results, educating our clients and empowering them to achieve their best skin.
Can I book an appointment without a consultation? Yes, absolutely! We know that there are many clients who are skin treatment enthusiasts and know exactly what they want. We can't wait to welcome you to Elara!
How often should I get a facial? Do I need more than one? Treatment frequency depends on many factors, including your skin condition, the treatments you're having, the results you're after and the timeframe that you want to achieve them in. As a general rule, most treatments are spaced 2 - 4 weeks apart but this is something that your skin specialist will work with you to create a customised plan that is specific to your needs.
What if I’m on actives (AHAs/Retinol/Tretinoin)? Prior to having your treatments, we recommend that you stop all actives 3 days prior with the exception of the pHformula A.C.T.I.V.E Formula and CR/MELA/AGE/AC Recovery products - due to the unique delivery system pHDVC, these are safe to continue using before and after our active treatments.
Is it safe for sensitive or acne-prone skin? Good news - we have a dedicated menu for sensitive skin, chronic redness and acne-prone skin, where you can choose any treatment and feel confident that it will be safe for your skin concerns. Again, if you feel inclined we would love to see you for a consultation to ensure that you feel extra confident and comfortable with the treatment plan we create for you.
Can I have a facial while pregnant? Absolutely, and congratulations! We are so excited to welcome you to Elara and we have created a special menu full of pregnancy safe options so that you have complete confidence that you're choosing a treatment that is safe for you and your little one.
Will I need downtime? Some of our treatments will involve some downtime, however most of our treatments are safe and efficacious without significant downtime, and without compromising results.
